Our Priorities
Our vision is a world in which the development of mental health and emotional resilience is part of life for every child – at home, at school and in the community.
Last year, more than 152,000 children enrolled in our Skills for Life programmes around the world. That’s a big number but only a small fraction of the world’s children. There is both the need and the opportunity to do more.
We want to build the social and emotional skills of children across the entire primary school age range through well-evidenced programmes and collaborative, mutually beneficial and sustainable partnerships.
Our Strategic Plan 2026 – 2028
Our goals:
- Strengthen the design, quality and delivery of our Skills for Life programmes from early years to adolescence
- Build our evidence base and measure our impact
- Engage with partner organisations in the UK and internationally to embed coping skills into the lives of all children
- Build a healthy, resilient and sustainable organisation
We are excited to share some of our achievements and impact from 2025. Despite on-going local, national and global challenges, we are proud of what our small team of staff and trustees and our partner organisations around the world have achieved together.
- Over 152,000 children took part in the Skills for Life programmes, improving their coping skills and resilience so that they are able to deal with challenges now and in the future
- Partner organisations in 23 countries around the world delivered our programmes including new partners in Morocco and Latvia
- 32 nurseries and pre-schools in the UK, Mauritius and Rwanda took part in cohort two of our early years pilot funded by the Kavli Trust
