Zippy’s Friends, Apple’s Friends and Passport – March 2026 Online Training

About the training session

This 2.5-hour online training session is for staff to train to deliver the Skills for Life programmes - Zippy’s Friends, Apple's Friends or Passport. An additional follow-up support and good practice session is included.

Our online training sessions are delivered via Zoom and are interactive and collaborative experiences.

To support their continued learning, trainees are invited to join our termly Skills for Life learning network meetings.

Learning Outcomes

During the training session you will:

  • Discover the concept of coping and how it can be used to support children/young people’s wellbeing

  • Find out more about the structure, content and implementation of the programme(s)

  • Build the confidence and skills to deliver the programme(s)

  • Deliver the programme to your class
  • Be motivated to embed the programme as part of a whole school approach to wellbeing

Zippy’s Friends for SEND – January 2026 Online Training

About the training sessions

These training sessions guides education professionals through the programme concepts and activities and prepares them to deliver the Zippy’s Friend for SEND programme. To support their continued learning, trainees are invited to join our termly Skills for Life learning network meetings.

Our online training sessions are delivered via Zoom and are interactive and collaborative experiences.

Learning Outcomes

During the training course you will:

  • Discover the concept of coping and how it has been shown to support children/young people’s wellbeing
  • Understand the structure, content and implementation of the Zippy’s Friends for SEND programme
  • Build the confidence and skills to deliver the programme
  • Understand how the programme supports a collaborative approach to mental health and wellbeing

  • Gain an understanding of the philosophy and theoretical basis behind the SPARK Resilience programme

  • Find out more about the structure, content and implementation of the programme

  • Build the confidence and skills to deliver the programme

Great resources to help children to develop resilience and understand different ways of approaching difficult situations. Lots of practical ideas and we got to try out all of the activities.
