Double your donation in the Big Give Christmas Challenge Appeal 2021

This Christmas we are delighted to be taking part in the Big Give Christmas Challenge to raise funds so that children can benefit from our new Skills for Life Programme – SPARK Resilience. With your support, we aim to raise £6,000 in just one week to bring the benefits of SPARK Resilience to 900 children in 30 schools and out of school settings as they move from primary to secondary school.

Research increasingly recognises the transition to secondary school as one of the most stressful events a child will experience – particularly as it coincides with concerns around increased academic pressure, puberty, social media and changing friendships. If a child struggles with this transition it can have a negative impact on their social, emotional and academic outcomes. After months of interrupted education due to COVID-19, many children are particularly vulnerable to mental ill health.

SPARK Resilience draws on mindfulness, positive psychology and cognitive behavioural therapy to give children skills to boost their strengths, control strong emotions and reframe habitual ways of thinking.

From midday Tuesday 30th November until midday Tuesday 7th December, any donation you give to Partnership for Children here will be doubled thanks to a generous pledge from a long term supporter of Partnership for Children and matched funding from a philanthropist who is interested in our work in schools.  We have a total of £3,000 in matched funding available during the week to match your donations. You can give any amount you wish using a debit or credit card and it will be doubled by the matched funding up to a total of £6,000.

The past 18 months have been extremely challenging for many small charities including Partnership for Children. At the start of the pandemic, despite a significant drop in income, we decided to continue to invest our reserves in SPARK Resilience as we knew how much this programme was needed in schools around the world.

Please consider a donation to our Big Give Christmas Appeal so that we can train teachers and get SPARK Resilience out into schools as quickly as possible in 2022. Don’t forget matched funding is only available from midday on Tuesday 30th November. If you give via our website.

Every donation, however big or small, helps to give children the gift of good mental health – for life.
