Zippy’s Friends is now in its second year in the state of New Jersey, and the number of children enrolled is increasing.

The programme is being managed by YCS, New Jersey's largest private non-profit provider of behavioural health and social services for children and families. YCS runs almost 100 different programmes across the state – ranging from foster care and residential safe havens, to special education and autism schools, to family preservation and mentoring programmes.

Zippy’s Friends was introduced to the USA with support from the Todd Ouida Children’s Foundation, which commemorates and celebrates the life of a young man who died in the 9/11 attack on the World Trade Center.
