In Uruguay Los Amigos de Zippy is coordinated by Gurises Unidos, an agency that promotes children’s rights.
Gurises Unidos operate mainly with children at high risk, street children and those who are working from a young age. They are very active in Uruguay, supporting various community programmes that aim to eradicate child labour and get children back into schools.
Los Amigos de Zippy is funded by HSBC and will be launched in Uruguay, as part of a Latin American expansion, along with four other countries in 2012.
