Singapore

Zippy's Friends has been introduced in Singapore by the Health Promotion Board, as part of its five-year national plan for mental health. The Board runs a range of programmes, promoting the health and wellbeing of all Singaporeans.
Although the first year involved only three primary schools, the schools are so large that this means over 800 five year-olds were enrolled in the programme. The programme is being taught in English, Singapore's official language, but for many children this is not the language spoken at home. The Parents' Guide is therefore being provided in Chinese, Malay, and Tamil as well as English, so that parents can easily learn about Zippy's Friends.
Zippy's Friends is now being trialled with some pre-school classes, and some small groups run by school counsellors.
