Panama
Panama was one of three Spanish-speaking countries in Latin America to launch Los Amigos de Zippy in 2010. The other two are much larger – Mexico has more than 110 million people and Argentina has almost 40 million, compared to Panama’s total of just 3.5 million – but the Panamanian programme had a strong start, with backing from the Ministry of Education.
