Mauritius

The island of Mauritius in the southern Indian Ocean has seen Zippy's Friends introduced into ten primary schools in 2009. The Catholic Education Bureau administers 48 schools, and has an action plan to deliver holistic and child-centred education. The adoption of Zippy's Friends is part of the plan.

The CEB secured funding from local sponsors to enable the pilot to go ahead, principally from Mauritius Commercial Bank.
