China (Shanghai)

Following the success of Zippy’s Friends in Hong Kong, the programme is now being made available in Mainland China.

So far, it has been launched in Shanghai, under the management of the College of Preschool and Special Education at the East China Normal University. The Hong Kong Institute of Education, which has developed the programme so successfully in Hong Kong, is assisting with training and advice. Thirty one kindergartens are taking part in this first year, but there are plans to expand the programme within Shanghai and to make it available elsewhere in China.

HSBC, which supports Zippy’s Friends in Hong Kong, is also funding it in Shanghai.
