Become a Zippy’s Friends and Apple’s Friends teacher in the UK

One in 10 children in the UK suffer from a diagnosable mental health disorder - that is around three children in every class. About half of all lifetime mental disorders begin before age 14. Young children need support to live mentally healthy lives.

Zippy's Friends is a universal mental health promotion programme for children aged 5-7. It's been running for over 15 years and reached over 1 million children around the world. Trained teachers deliver 24 sessions over a school year to their whole class. Research has shown the programme improves childrens' emotional literacy and coping skills, reduces their hyperactivity levels and leads to improved relationships, less bullying and an improved class climate.

Apple's Friends is the follow up programme to Zippy's Friends but can also be taught on its own. Children aged 7-9 learn improved coping and social skills.

Only trained teachers can deliver our programmes.
