Zippy's Friends aims to help young children, but in Shanghai it is also having a remarkable impact on parents. There was some initial resistance from parents who wanted their children to have more academic studies, but they changed their minds when they noticed improvements in their children's behaviour and attitudes.
Zippy's Friends is being taught in the final year of kindergarten by specially trained teachers, and 54,515 children have been enrolled so far.
Shanghai is now our largest city programme anywhere in the world.
