Trusts and Foundations

Many charitable trusts and foundations have supported our work, and we are very grateful to all of them.

We are particularly grateful to those who have given unrestricted donations, allowing us to use funds when and where they are most needed. These include Arimathea Charitable Trust, Artemis Charitable Trust, Fung Yiu King Charitable Foundation, Golden Bottle Trust, Joffe Charitable Trust, Mackintosh Foundation, Marmot Trust, Prairie Trust, Arthur Samy Memorial Trust, Wohl Charitable Enterprises and others that prefer their support to remain anonymous.

The Dulverton Trust supported a workshop for UK teachers and the production of new resources for teachers and parents. It also helped us to develop Good Books for Tough Times, a booklet recommending storybooks that can help young children to cope with difficult situations and feelings. The Bernard Sunley Charitable Foundation paid for the booklet to be printed, and The Persula Foundation paid for copies to be sent to every public library in the UK.

The Eranda Foundation is supporting Zippy's Friends in England, and St Faith's Trust paid for the programme's launch in North West Surrey. The Equitable Charitable Trust paid for the revision and reprinting of teaching materials.

The Mercers' Company sponsored the provision of online information and resources for teachers and parents of young children.

The Specialist Schools and Academies Trust contributed towards the work we are doing with Sunfield School, Worcestershire, to adapt Zippy's Friends for children with severe and complex learning difficulties.

Network for Social Change co-sponsored our first international training workshop, and supported a review of research into how young children cope when indirectly affected by traumatic events.

The Funding Network and Education 4 Peace both contributed to the costs of launching Zippy's Friends in India.

The Marden Foundation, based in Hong Kong, paid for the production of DVDs and videos, to promote Zippy's Friends and help with teacher training. The Providence Foundation, also based in Hong Kong, helped to cover the costs of an international workshop.

The Todd Ouida Children's Foundation helped to launch Zippy's Friends in the United States, not only by giving financial support but also by publicising the programme and promoting it to schools.
