Good Books for Tough Times
Books for children aged 5-8
Life can be tough for a child, even if he or she is very young. He might feel jealous of a brother or sister. She might be worried about going to a new school. You’ve had a death in the family – how can you talk about it in ways your child will understand?
There are lots of lovely story and picture books available that can be an excellent starting point for tackling such issues with your child. We’ve made a selection of some of the best of them, all independently chosen by Partnership for Children. And these are books that are well worth reading with your child, whether or not they are going through difficulties.
